Program Outcomes

Overview of Pre v.s. Post Program Evaluation Results

  • Population context

    • ~38 6th-graders at a 4-day camp hosted in the summer of 2025

    • 21 included in analysis (others excluded for incomplete surveys/missing data)

    • Split between morning & afternoon 2-hour sessions

    • Teaching content is selected from three Mindset Math curriculums---Mindful Mathletes, Around the World in 80 Math Problems (ATWI80MP), and STEM & Stitches---blending elements such as mindset messages, creative math problems, genetics, graph theory, and movements.

  • Quantitative results

    • Average composite mindset score: Pre = 6.1 → Post = 8.3 (35% increase, p ≈ 0.02)

    • 62% of students improved their mindset scores
